Curtis Howe,
President of Mariner Partners, Inc. to speak at Telemanagement
World in Dallas, November 9, 2005
Session Abstract:
The transition from technical trials to commercial IPTV
service can be a major challenge for CIOs. As the network
challenges yield to advances in video compression and distribution
technology, scalability of
customer operations and management of service quality have
now become the gating factors on time to market. This session
features a review of key OSS and operational challenges
from real world commercial deployments, and presents a CIO's
roadmap to commercial launch of IPTV.
Curtis Howe will speak from the experience
of successful commercial launches of IPTV in NBTel and later
Aliant Telecom, where he served as General Manager, Marketing
and CIO respectively. Curtis is currently President of Mariner
Partners, Inc. and is assisting Tier 2 telecom operators
on IPTV product developments and launches.
